R. Scott Smith, Jr., chairman, CEO and
president of Fulton Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: FULT), today announced
that David B. Hanson has been named chief executive officer and president
of Fulton Financial Advisors, the Corporation's wealth management,
brokerage and trust services subsidiary. Hanson comes to Advisors from
SunTrust Banks, Inc. in Orlando, Florida.
Hanson will manage Fulton Financial Advisors, which offers a broad array of
financial products and services to its clients including: trust and estate
management, wealth management, retirement services, brokerage, insurance,
charitable/endowment management, corporate trust, cash management and
private banking.

Hanson spent the last 19 years as an executive in the wealth and investment
management division of SunTrust Banks, Inc. While at SunTrust, Hanson had
responsibility for wealth management offices in Macon, Georgia, Nashville,
Tennessee and Orlando, Florida. In recent years, he was an executive in
corporate strategy and merger- and acquisition-related roles.
Hanson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bob Jones
University, Greenville, SC, as well as a Master's Degree in Business
Administration from Georgia State University, Atlanta. He is a Certified
Trust and Financial Advisor, Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified
Public Accountant. Hanson has served on several trust and wealth management
related advisory boards for the American Bankers Association.
In the Orlando community, Hanson is a former board member and finance
committee member of Heart of Florida United Way as well as a member of the
Orlando Chamber of Commerce -- Leadership Orlando. He served as deacon and
finance committee chair at Calvary Baptist Church. Hanson is married with
four children.
